What is Kinnexus?

Kinnexus is a full-featured client, browser, and public database solution designed to give users unparalleled autonomy and flexibility in the day-to-day use of data.

Highly customizable, Kinnexus is currently used mostly in the real estate industry and by the US Air Force.

Is this system Web based?

Yes and No. A pure browser-based system is subject to substantial limitations in function and customization. So Kinnexus offers the best of both worlds: an available browser interface and a full-function Windows client (Desktop) program. You don't need the client to run the browser (just your user name and password) but you will not be able to use some of the features that the Client has available to you.

Most users prefer the full functionality of the client although you can use both. The Browser functions just like any web based product that you might be used to. So yes, you can access the data from any computer with an internet connection.

3 Steps to getting installed with the Kinnexus Demo Program

  1. Download and Install the program to your computer(s)
  2. Enter YOUR license & password according to the instructions in the Setup tutorial
  3. Login

Trial Program- The Trial Program will be activated entering your license file.

Step 1- Download and install the program. We do not recommend downloading to the desktop. Create a folder on your hard drive. You could download all the files to a folder at once but make sure to install in the order below.

Step 2-Install your User Name and Password -Your User name and Password can be found in the email we sent you for access. Confirm the Database Name and Server with the instructions.

Step 3-Log in - The 1st time you log in with the Client application it may take a couple of minutes depending on your internet connection to gather the settings and sync your data. The next time will be much faster.

Your login will have a series of mls data available and we have made available a series of reports but this is by no means the limit of what you can do with Kinnexus. Depending on the License we sent you you will have different levels of access available to you

To log into the Browser please find the url in your login instructions and use the same user name and password. We suggest you bookmark the page for easy access. Remember which application you are in...Web or Client as they look very similar.

Tech Support

To assist you in support for the Kinnexus system we have prepared an easy to use system for directly contacting support with Kinnexus related questions.

Hours: 9am-5pm MST (note that if all support personnel are busy with customers nobody will "pick up". Please schedule an appointment or try another time.

  1. You will be directed to a member of our Live Online Support.
  2. Fill out the Information Box completely (that means each box) and we will take over your computer to resolve any issues you may have.
  3. Make sure to choose Connect when prompted and make sure to close any personal information you might have on your computer. We will see everything you see on the screen so we can assist you very quickly. You can end the session at any time. We cannot load anything to your computer without your permission

What is Tech Support?

Howard & Friends defines tech support as something effecting the functionality of the Kinnexus program on a Windows 2000/XP/Vista operating system that is caused by our program. It does not include how to use the program in the agent's day to day business or perform a function in the program related to the practice of Real Estate.

Although we are more than happy to help with making sure that you are up and running with Kinnexus, we have a series of online training webinar's and tutorials that are designed to accomplish this. Please refer to the training calendar for times and dates. Additionally we have support staff that are prepared to travel if necessary to assist with training, implementation and customization.

YOU MUST allow Kinnexus to connect on all ports. If you tell your anti virus, internet security, or firewall to block Kinnexus we cannot help you until you resolve that issue. You must allow the program to connect on all ports.

If your computer cannot make an internet connection then you will need to resolve that issue prior to calling for support.

Some extra Features:

MLS Stats Modules :

Many MLS's use the Kinnexus Stats Module to enhance their existing MLS. Most Web based MLS systems cannot generate the type of Statistical Reports needed in today's real estate world. Kinnexus has a solution for them. By integrating our Stats module the mls can maintain its current vendor while suing our powerful stats and reporting features. Kinnexus can generate stats on the "fly" or using our powerful pre described routines. See a couple of examples below

Other Built in Monitoring Tools

Your IT personnel will love how we can "tweek" Kinnexus to get the most use out of it. Because Kinnexus was designed to run on low bandwidth, some of the hidden costs of running strictly web based products are never discovered until you signed the contract. As an association you should ask "What are the costs of actually running the mls, that is the bandwidth costs when all our members are accessing?"

Installing CMA Plus for Kinnexus

CMA Plus & Money Magic Program files:

Following are the Program files for CMA Plus & Money Magic for the various MLS associations that Kinnexus supports. You must be a member of the mls in order to gain access to and have the data import into the CMA Plus program. Make sure to download the appropriate file:

CMA Plus- (Before running make sure you have the latest version of Kinnexus)

Money Magic (All Kinnexus users)

Manuals: We know some of you just like having something you can print & touch so you can save these (4) documents to your computer and print it out if you want but remember that a picture is worth a thousand tree's (er, I mean words)

Training Schedule:

Training is by the schedule or by appointment. To get on the list you can register directly online at the calendar and we will send you an invitation/confirmation to participate in a FREE Webinar on various aspects of the program. Just let us know you would like to be on the list.

There is no cost to attend the webinar other than your long distance call to hear the webinar. The training session itself is free and you are only charged for the long distance call thru your long distance provider. If you have free long distance then it's free.
